Dr. Scott Taylor is President of the Expanded Awareness Institute, where he helps curious people explore near-death experiences and what they mean for individuals and our culture at large. A spiritual teacher, speaker, and researcher, Scott has spent decades making the exploration of the nonphysical universe accessible to everyday seekers.
Scott previously served as President and Executive Director of The Monroe Institute, where he has trained since 1985 and is recognized as an expert in using binaural beat technology to achieve and sustain expanded states of consciousness. He is the author and voice behind the best-selling Into the Light series—six guided meditation CDs focused on near-death experiences. Scott has served two terms on the board of the International Association for Near-Death Studies (IANDS) and currently co-emcees their international conventions. Scott holds a doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of St. Thomas, where his dissertation explored "Near-Death Experiences: Discovering and Living in Unity." Before his work in consciousness studies, he built a career as a business leader and CEO, and later mentored small business owners as a faculty member at South Central College in North Mankato, Minnesota. Outside his research, Scott is a passionate curler who competed in the 1991 Olympic trials. He lives with his wife in Virginia's Blue Ridge Mountains.

Lance Hightower spends his life on the edge of maps most people never unfold. An investigator and outdoorsman, he crosses the country in search of those who have already met what the woods, the water, and the dark sky refuse to name—Sasquatch, Dogman, and the rarer things that move between air, land, and sea.
He does not collect campfire stories. He sits with people whose nights never returned to ordinary, whose silence finally broke because the encounter would not. In raw, unguarded interviews he presses into the moment the world split: the sound that should not have been there, the shape that should not have stood, the knowledge that walking away did not mean it stayed behind. Hightower’s work is not comfort. It is a corridor between terror and inquiry, built so listeners can stand where the witness stood—and decide, for themselves, what looked back. |
