On a beautiful spring day, in May 1924, two children wandering near Herrenhausen Castle on the banks of the Leine River, made a gruesome discovery. Marcel Petiot was a French doctor and serial killer, who preyed on refugees fleeing from the Nazis. After the liberation of France by the Americans, Petiot was arrested, and nearly 30 corpses were discovered in his home.
